MEET MRS. JOHNSON
Hi! Thanks for visiting my webpage!
This is my twelfth year teaching at Ridgeview. Ten of those years have been in first grade! I love teaching at this school and being part of this awesome staff!
I graduated with my undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University in 2005 (Go Huskies!) and received my master's degree in Reading & Literacy from Benedictine University in 2012.
My husband and I have been married for 7 years. We have a four (!!!) year old named Joshua (time needs to SLOW DOWN!). He brings us so much joy! We also have a dog named Coach. He is lots of fun to play with! First graders in '1J' will get to hear lots of Coach stories!
Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. I have been all over Europe, Hawaii, and have also spent time in the Dominican Republic helping Haitian refugees. Our favorite family vacation spot is Disney World...we can't wait to go back!! I also enjoy taking pictures, reading, and learning about different cultures.
Teaching is one of the most rewarding and most difficult jobs and I LOVE it! It is a blessing and a privilege to spend each day helping kids embrace their passion for learning! I am looking forward to a great year with these first graders!
